Description
Like other Andrena, this species is a small, slender, delicate looking bee. The female is mostly black, with some reddish coloration on certain body parts, such as the parts of the antenna, mandibles, and legs. The species is similar in morphology to A. solivaga, though it has longer facial foveae, the carina of the propodeal enclosure differs, and it does not have a distinct impunctate median line on the clypeus (Larkin 2004).
