Description
Like other Andrena, this species is a small, slender, delicate looking bee. It is smaller than most of its congeners; the females are about 8mm in length. The female is mostly black, with some reddish coloration on certain body parts, such as the parts of the clypeus, labrum, antenna, mandibles, and legs. The species is closely related and similar in morphology to A. ofella, though it has a broader facial foveae and internal hairs in only about one-third of the corbicula (Larkin 2004).
