Description
Perdita maculipes is known only from male specimens. The males are very similar in form to P. ensenadensis, except that the lateral arm of the mesopectal yellow mark extends broadly and obliquely to touch the yellow mark on the tubercles, and thelegs are yellow with the posterior side of the front and middle tibiae and hind femora maculated with brown. In P. ensenadensis, the yellow arms of T-mark end far from the tubercles, and all femora, as well as front and middle tibia, are blotched with brown (Timberlake 1968).
