Description
This is a small miner bee (4.5 mm) with a dark blue head and thorax. The abdomen is yellowish brown above, with narrow white bands that are interrupted in the middle. The abdomen below is dark brown. The head is slightly large and distinctly broader than long. The face is void of hairs, apart from the sides near the antenna, where they are rather conspicuous. It is similar to Perdita biparticeps, though the face-markings and abdomen are very different (Cockerell 1896).
